of said City, rooms for the housing and safe keeping of prisoners
of said city to be used for the purpose of a City Jail and rooms
and aaarters for the housing of fire apparatus of said city and
for the necessary accommodation of members of its fire department;
Also providing for the issuance and redemption of bonds of the
City of Anaheim in the sum of Fifty Thousand (:- ;50 Dollars,
for the purpose of the acquisition construction and completion by
the City of Anaheim of the following municipal improvement viz:
the acquisition, construction and completion of extensions and im-

of Anaheim, California, will receive sealed bids or proposals up
to eight o'clock 2. M. of Thursday, the 13th day of October, 1921,
to purchase bonds of the City of Anaheim, ordered issued under
and by virtue of the provisions of Ordinance No. 406 of
said City of Anaheim, entitled: "An Ordinance provid-
ing for the issuance and redemption of bonds of the City o

Said bonds are negotiable in form and are issued in four series,
designated as follows: "Municipal Building Bonds," "'Hater "dorks
Improvement Bonds," "Sewer Extension Bonds," dnd "Fire Pump Bonds."
Said municipal building bonds are ninety in number; sixty (60)
of said ninety (90) bonds are of the denomination of One Thousand
(11000.00) Dollars each, and thirty of said ninety (90) bonds are
of the denomination of five hundred (5500.00) Dollars each; said
ninety (90) bonds are numbered consecutively from one (11 to
ninety (90), both inclusive, and of said ninety (90) bonds, the
bond numbered one (1) is of the denomination of One Thousand
(11000.00) Dollars; the bond numbered Two (2) is of the denomina-
tion of One Thousand (4000.00) Dollars; and the bond numbered
three (3) is of the denomination of five hundred ("500.00) Dollar#
and all other bonds bearing a number which is a multiple of three
(3) are of the denomination of Five Hundred (` 1 500.00) Dollars,
all of said bonds bearing a number not a multiple of three (3)
of the denomination of one Thousand (J1000.00) Dollars.
Said bonds are so numbered as to make two One Thousand Q000.0
Dollar bonds, and one :Five Hundred (Q500.00) Dollar bond, payablel
each year*
On the 16th day of October, 1922, two of said One Thousand Dol-�
jar (11000.00) Wh to-wit: Bonds numbered 1 and 2 shall be pail,
and on the said 15th day of October, 1922, one of said Five Hun-
dred Dollar (1500.00) bonds, to-wit, bond numbered Q shall be
paid, and on the 15th day of October) of each and every year the
after, two additional of said one Thousand ( X 1000.00) Dollar bo
and one additional of said live Hundred (1500.00) Dollar bonds

shall be paid, until the principal and interest on all of said

7 Said ' Works Improvement Bonds are fifty (50) in number

11 1 Said fifty bonds shall be paid in the order of their numbers
12 consecutively, in the following manner: Two of said bonds shall
13 be paid on the 15th day of October, 1922, and two upon the 15th
14 day of October, of each and every year thereafter, together with
15 interest on all sums unpaid at such date until the principal and
16 interest on all of said fifty bonds and the money thereby repres-
17 l�; ented shall have been paid, the same being and constituting an

I annual payment of the sum of Two, Thousand (42,000,00) Dollars on

said bonds, which said sum is not less than one-

22 Said "Sewer Extension Bonds," are thirty (30) in number and

26 Said thirty (30) bonds shall be paid in the order of their
27 number consecutively in the following manner; one of said bonds
28 shall be paid on the 15th day of October,, 1922, and one upon the

Proposals or bids will be received for the purchase of said

series of bonds separately, and the Board of Trustees of the City

No proposals for said bonds will be entertained at less than

Said bonds will be ready for delivery on or after the 25th
day of October, 1921, and w ill ill be delivered at the City
Treasurer's office in the City of Anaheim,, or at any designated
p lace upon the payment by the purchaser of all expenses incurred
for the delivery and payment eauivalent to a transfer at the of-
fice of the City Treasurer in the said City of Anaheim, all bids
shall be filed with the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim, marked,
"Pro-posals for the purchase of bonds."
V1ith each proposal or bid must be submitted a certified check
payable to the order of the City Treasurer of the City of Anaheim,
for an amount equal to five per cent of the total amount
bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will purchase and pay for said
bonds, in accordance -rich his proposal iff the bid, is acdepted.
The Bedard of Trustees of the City of Anaheim reserves the right

to reject any and all bids or proposals received and, in its dis-
cretion, readvertise for bids.

fornia, made at a regular meeting of said Board held on the 8th

MCTION 2, The City Clerk of the City of Anaheim, is hereby
instructed, under and pursuant to the provisions of Section 678
of the Political Code of the State of California, to forthwith
by mail, postage prepaid, notify the State Board of Control of
the State of California, and the State Treasurer of California, at
the capital in the City of Sacramento, California, of such issuance
and sale of bonds, and shall specify the purposes for which such
for each purpose,
bonds were voted, the amount of the total issue,/the denomination

of each bond, showing the date of issuance and the date of matur-
ity, and rate of interest, showing when and where payable, the
assessed value of the property on which such bonds are a lien,
the total anoant of other bonded indebtedness which is a lien
upon said property, and shall, upon request of the State Board
of Control, furnish a full description of the proceedings leading
up to such issue.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk of the City of Anaheim shall certify;
to the passage of this resolution, and therefrom and thereafter
the same shall take effect and be in fall force.
The foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a regular
meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim at a revu-1
lar meeting of said Board of Trustees held on the 8th day of Sep-
tember, 1921 and is on said 8th day of September, 1921, signed
and approved by me.
