of .Anaheim, which said resolution of Intention .Tao. 148 ws.s duly
passed and adopted by said Board of Trustees on the 28th day of
April, 19:1, hereby orders the following described street work to
be done in said City, to -wit:
r' That the south side of Chestnut
street in said city, from the west
property line of South Los Angeles
street to the easterly property line of
South Lemon street be widened to a
uniform width of 34.75 feet southerly
from and parallel to the center line of
said Chestnut street.
SECTION 2. That the land deemed
necessary to be taken for said work
and improvement is situate within the
said City of Anaheim and is described
as follows, to -wit:
Beginning at the northwesterly coi-
ner of building lot forty -four (44) of
the town of Anaheim as shown on a
map recorded in Book 4 of Deeds at
Pages 629 and 630 Records of Los An-
geles county, California; thence east-
erly along the northerly line of said
building lot forty -four (44) and along
the northerly line of building lots
forty -three (43), forty -two (42), and
forty -one (41) as shown on said map
five hundred fifty -two (552) feet
more or less to the present westerly
line of South Los Angeles street;
thence southerly along said present
westerly line of South Los Angeles
street ten (10) feet; thence westerly
Parallel to the northerly line of said
building lots forty -one (41), forty -two
(42), forty -three (43), and forty -four
(44), five hundred and fifty -two (552)
feet more or less to the westerly line
of said building lot forty -four (44);
thence northerly along said westerly
line ten (10) feet to the place of be-
ginning.
SECTION 3. That the exterior
boundaries of the district of the lands
to be affected and benefitted by said
work and improvement and to be as-
sessed to pay the damages, costs and
expenses thereof, which said district
is within the City of Anaheim, County
of Orange, State of California, are
partiularly described as follows, to-

along the westerly line of building lot
forty (40) as shown on said map to
a point nine (9) feet southerly from
the northwesterly corner of said
building lot forty (40); thence east-
erly parallel to the northerly line of
said building lot and parallel to the
northerly line of building lots thirty -
nine (39), thirty -eight (38) and thirty -
seven (37) as shown on said map,
five hundred and fifty -two (552) feet,
more or less to the present westerly
line of South Los Angeles street;
thence easterly to the northwesterly
corner of lot nine (9) block A, Center
Tract as shown on a map recorded in
Book Three (3) Page 82, Miscellane-
ous Maps Records of Orange County,
California; thence easterly along the
northerly line of said lot, one hundred
forty -five and eighty -two hundredths
(145.82) feet; thence easterly along
the northeasterly line of said lot,
fourteen and fourteen hundredths
(14.14) feet; thence southerly along
the easterly line of said lot and along
the easterly line of lots ten (10),
eleven (11), twelve (12) and thirteen
(13) of said block A, and along the
easterly line of lots forty (40),
thirty -nine (39), thirty -eight (38),
thirty -seven (37), thirty -six (36),
thirty -five (35), thirty -four (34),
thirty -three (33) and thirty -two (32)9
Block A, Center Tract as shown on a
map recorded in Book 14, Page 13,
Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles
County, California, to the southeaster-
ly corner of said lot thirty -two (32);
thence westerly along the southerly
line of said lot to the southwesterly
corner of said lot; thence westerly to
the point of intersection of the pres-
ent westerly line of South Los An-
geles street and the southerly line of
building lot forty -one (41) as shown
on said map of the town of Anaheim;
thence westerly along the southerly
line of said building lot forty -one (41)
and along the southerly line of build-
ing lots forty -two (42), forty -three
(43) and forty -four (44) as shown on
said map to the place of beginning.
Excepting therefrom the land herein -
before described as the land to be tak-
en for the widening of the south side
of said Chestnut street, and also ex-
cepting any land within said boundar-
ies contained which is now a part of a
public street or alley.
SECTION 4. All of the herein de-
scribed street work shall be done pur-
suant to the provisions of an act of
the legislature of the State of Cali-
fornia, entitled, "An Act to provide
for laying out, opening, extending,
widening, straightening, or closing up
in whole or in part of any street,
square, lane, alley, court or place
within municipalities and to condemn
and acquire any and all land and
L property necessary or convenient for
that purpose," approved March 6th,
1889, and the several acts amendatory
thereof and_supplmentary thereto.
