RESOLUTION ADOPTING SPECIFIC' -i TIONS FOR CAST IRON WATER
PIPE FOR Mi. T E CITY OP ANAHEIM*
Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim:
SECTION 1, That the specifications f or Cast Iron Vater Pipe and
Cittings as adopted on the 12th day of fday 1908. by the American Wate
Works Associationt a copy of which said specifications so adopted was
filed in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim on the
24th day of April 1919 and is now on file in the office of said Cit
Clerk, be and the same are hereby adopted as Specifications for cast
iron pipe and fittings for the City of Anaheim*
SECTION 2. That the Pablic interest and convetience of the Cit2
of Anaheim demand that the following described cast iron water pipe
and fittdngs be purchased and acquired by the City of Anaheim to-wit:
160 it of 6 inch cast iron water pipe and 3072 ft of 4 inch Cast
Iron water pipes also the following fittings to-wit:
54 inch crosses, Belle all aroando
5 --- 4 inch by 4 inch by 6 inch tees, Bells all.aroando
44 inch slee
14 inch by 6 inch reducerp with 4 inch bell end and
6 inch spigot end,
Said pipe shall be Qlass. "Cw of 16 foot lengths, and said fitt
shall be "D" Cast Iron Pipe and shall conforgi in every partica-
lar to the specifications he referred to*
nCTION 3. The Uity Clerk of the City of Anaheim be arid he is
hereby anthorized and directed to publish for two successive v.eeks in
the Anaheim Gazette, a newspaper of general circulation printed, pub-I
lished and circulated in the City of Anaheim a notice calling for
sealed proposals or bids for the furnishing to the City of Amheim

of said cast iron water pipe and fittings# said bids shall be the
office of the Uity Ulerk of said city up to 8 o"clock 1?*M. Of TM&Gdaj
the 14th day of April 1920*
Bidders must state price per foot �i,'or pipe and price per

amount equal to not less than Ten per cent (10 per cent) of the ano
of said bid,
SECTION 5, The successful bidder shall within ten days after
the acceptance ot his bid furnish unto the City of Anaheim a contract
for the delivery of said Cast Iron Pipe and said fitting# and. a bond
in the penal sum of Fifty per cent (50 per cent) of the amount of sa
bid, executed bytiat least two good and sufficient sureties within the
St�'_te of California who shall �,ustify in dc�uble the amount of sald
bond in unencumbered pro_ within the State of California other
than property exempt from execution or by a corporate surety author-
ized to execute bonds within the State of California which said bond
shall be conditioned upon the faithful performance of said contract
and shall be subject to the alproval of the Board of Trustees of the
City of Anaheim.
SECTION 6*,The Board off Trustees of said City reserves the
rights to reject any and all bids or any part of any bid*
