RESOLUTION 93)OPTING SPLCIFICATIONS FOR AFOUR-CYLINDER MOTOR-DRIV-
EN STREET SW~ER FOR TH:E CITY OF ANAH:~I1~.
RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim;
1. That those certain specifications marked and designated
"Specifications for four-cylinder motor-driven street sweeper for
the City of Anaheim," be and the same are hereby adopted as the
Specifications for amotor-driven street sweeper for the City of
Anaheim, California.
2. .That sealed proposals or bids will be received by the
Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim at the office of the
City Clerk in the City Hall in said City far the furnishing of
amotor-driven street sweeper, in conformity to said specifica-
tions, up to 8 o'clock of Thursday the 31st day of May, 1917.
3. That the City Clerk of said City be and he is hereby
authorized to cause to be published in the Anaheim Gazette, a
weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and
circulated in said city, for two successive weeks, a notice call-
ing for sealed proposals or bids for furnishing such motor-driv-
en street sweeper for said City, which said notice shall desig-
nate $aid 31st day of May, 1917, up to the hour of 8 o'clock P.
M. as the time up to which said sealed proposals or bids shall
be received at the office of said City Clerk.
4. ach proposal or bid must be accompanied by a cheek cer-
tified by a responsible bank or a bond eBecuted by two good
and sufficient sureties, who shall justify in double the amount
of said bond, in unencumbered property within the State of Cali-
fornia, (other than property exempt from s~ecutionj or by 8 cor_

able to said City of Anaheim, and the same shall be forfeited ~
to said City as liquidated damages, if within ten days after
the acceptance of any such bid, the bidder fails to enter into
a contract with the City of Anaheim for the delivery of d

1 sweeper and to furnish the bond required, and said notice shall
2 so state.
3 5. The successful bidder shall be required, within ten
4 days after the award of the contract to him, to enter into a
5 contract with said City of Anaheim, to furnish anal deliver a
6 motor-driven street sweeper in conformity to these s eeifications
7 and to furnish to said City a bond, e~cuted by two good and
8 sufficient sureties, who shall justify in double the amount of
9 said bond, in unencumbered propertg, within the State of Cali-
10 fornia (other than property exempt from execution) or by a cor-
11 potation authorized to execute bonds and undertakings within
12 the State of California, which said cheek or bond shall be made
13 payable to the said City of Anaheim, and shall be conditioned up-
14 on the f~i.thful performance of said contract.
15 Tie Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any and
16 ~,1 bids.
17 The foregoing Resolution is signed, approved and attested
