A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM ACCEPTING ONE HUNDRED PERCENT (100%)
OF THE PROPERTY TAXES FROM THE BUENA PARK
LIBRARY DISTRICT (BPLD) FOR FOUR NON-CONTIGUOUS
PARCELS BEING DETACHED FROM BPLD AS PART OF
REORGANIZATION NO. (RO 06-34).
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Cortese-Knox-Hertzberg Government
Reorganization Act of 2000, proceedings have been initiated to reorganize the boundary of the Buena
Park Library District; and
WHEREAS, as a result of the proposed reorganization, four non-contiguous portions of the
Buena Park Library District's service territory located within the City of Anaheim will be detached
from the Buena Park Library District; and
WHEREAS, the proposed detachment areas are generally shown in the vicinity map
demonstrated in Exhibit "A," attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference; and
WHEREAS, upon detachment from the Buena Park Library District of the areas within the
City of Anaheim, as set forth in Exhibit "A," one hundred percent (100°Io) of the tax revenue from
these areas will be transferred to the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim concurs that the property tax revenues for the affected
territory within the City of Anaheim, following detachment, should be allocated in total to the City
of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Anaheim DOES HEREBY RESOLVE
that pursuant to Revenue and Taxation Code Section 99(b) regarding jurisdictional changes with
respect to adjustments in allocation of property taxes, the City of Anaheim requests that one hundred
percent (100°Io) of property tax revenues from the area detached from the Buena Park Library
District, as set forth on Exhibit "A," be allocated in total to the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim this 17th day of October , 2006, by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Mayor Pringle, Council Members Chavez, Hernandez, Sidhu, Galloway.
NOES: None
