A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN
AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF ORANGE RELATIVE
TO INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT GILBERT
AND CERRITOS STREETS.
WHEREAS, the County of Orange has requested that the
stop signs at Gilbert and Cerritos Streets be replaced with traffic
signals and has tendered to the City of Anaheim an agreement
covering the cost of sharing the expense thereof; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the best
interests of the City to change the said stop signs to traffic
signals and that the agreement as presented is satisfactory in
all respects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they
are hereby authorized and directed to execute on beha1fof the
City of Anaheim that certain agreement designated 173-474.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Finance Director
be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay the City's
share of the costs thereof, estimated to be $7,000.00, and that
the same be charged to TOPICS funds.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 3rd, day of April , 1973.
