A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE TERMS AND
CONDITIONS OF AN AMENDMENT TO AN AGREE-
MENT WITH MAYBELLE E. SPENCER, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, City and Contractor have heretofore
entered into an Agreement which expires on August 31, 1973;
and
WHEREAS, Contractor renders professional and
technical services in the field of Municipal Finance and
Tax Collection on a temporary basis within the meaning of
California Government Code, Section 21153; and
WHEREAS, the services of Contractor are required
for an additional thirty (30) day period because of the
present heavy workload in the City Treasurer's Office.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the Amendment to Agreement is
hereby approved on the following terms and conditions:
1. Paragraph 3 of said Agreement is hereby amended
to provide that
"A. The maximum fee that CITY agrees to pay
to CONTRACTOR for technical services per-
formed under this agreement is not to
exceed One Thousand Four Hundred Dollars
($1,400.00) ."
llB. Payment for technical services rendered by
CONTRACTOR under this agreement shall be
made by CITY upon semi-monthly invoices to
be submitted to CITY by CONTRACTOR on an
actual-number-of-days-worked basis.
Invoices submitted by CONTRACTOR will be
computed at CONTRACTOR'S daily rate of
Seventy-Seven Dollars and Seventy-Seven
Cents ($77. 77) . II
2. Paragraph 4 of said Agreement is hereby amended
to provide that liThe term of this agreement shall be from
September 1, 1973, through September 30, 1973, both dates inclu-
sive. If this agreement is terminated by reason or failure to
per~Qrm or failure to perform properly, no additional payment
shall be made by CITY."

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of
the City of Anaheim~
