RESOLUTION NO. 73R- 373 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING RATES, RULES AND REGULA- TIoNs FOR THE SALE AND DISTRIBUTION OF ELECTRIC ENERGY AS ADOPTED BY RESOLUTION NO. 7lR-478 AND AMENDED BY RESOLUTION NO. 73R-2S. WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim does distribute electric energy to certain customers who live in Anaheim; and WHEREAS, all electric energy distributed by the City of Anaheim is purchased from the Southern California Edison Company; and WHEREAS, the Southern California Edison Company, on the eighth day of May, 1973, filed an application with the Federal Power Commission to increase its wholesale electric rate to cities such as Anaheim; and WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim, on the nineteenth day of June, 1973, filed a motion with the Federal Power Commission to reject the Edison Company's application to increase its wholesale electric rate; and WHEREAS, the Federal Power Act provides that such rate increase shall go into effect, subject to suspension by the Federal Power Commission; and WHEREAS, the Federal Power Commission suspended the rate increase until September 7, 1973; and WHEREAS, the wholesale electric rate increase will be effective on the above-mentioned date, Subject to refund after hearing; and WHEREAS, an additional appropriation is required for purchased power in the electric utility budget as a result of the wholesale electric rate increase; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that Anaheim's electric rates shall be increased to provide funds for the addi- tional appropriation. Rate B is applicable only where the consumer has an electric range and an electric water heater, both permanently installed and used both exclusively for all cooking and water heating on premises. a. \'7ater heater shall be provided with an efficiently insulated storage tank and shall be equipped with two heating units each separately controlled by an individual thermostat. The thermostat control circuit shall be interconnected to cause one heat- ing unit to cut off when the other heating unit is on. b. Rate B is closed to new customers as of November 14 1971, and will expire on January 1, 1977. 2. Rate C is applicable only when all space heating is done electrically (resistance or heat pump). Rate C is closed to new customers as of January 1, 1974. C. Multifamily accoIT~odations: \Vhere all of the single family accommodations in an apartment house, court group, or similar multifamily accownodations are on a single meter, tl1e customer shall have the following options: 1.
