A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE ORANGE COUNTY COM-
MUNITY ACTION COUNCIL, INC. TO IMPLEMENT A
SUMMER EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM, AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID AGREE-
MENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has received a grant of
discretionary funds from the U.s. Department of Labor, Manpower
Administration, under Section 5 of the Emergency Employment Act
(P.L. 92-54) to conduct a summer employment program in the amount
of Forty-Three Thousand Dollars ($43,000); and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Community Action Council,
Inc. is experienced in the development and implementation of
special summer programs to provide education, work experience,
skill training, counseling and culturual enrichment to Orange
County youth, and is willing to implement a summer employment pro-
gram for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim. .
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the terms and conditions of an agreement
by and between the City of Anaheim and the Orange County Community
Action Council, Inc. wherein said Community Action Council imple-
ments a summer employment program on behalf of the City of Anaheim
be, and the same are hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are
hereby authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of the City
of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 12th day of June, 1973.
