RESOLUTION NO. 73R- 227
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
OF AN AGREEHENT ill-1PLOYING R. W. BECK AND
ASSOCIATES AS ENGINEERING CONSULTANTS IN CON-
NECTION WITH AN APPLICATION OF SOUTHERN
CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY TO INCREASE THE COST
OF WHOLESALE POWER TO THE CITY, AND AUTHORIZ-
ING THE ~1AYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, in May of 1973, Southern California Edison
Company filed an application with the Federal Power Commission
to increase the cost of wholesale power purchased by the City of
Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, R. W. Beck and Associates are qualified to
render certain engineering and analytical advice and expertise to
City in connection with said application; and
WHEREAS, City has determined that it is in the best
interests of City to oppose said rate application by Southern
California Edison.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the terms and conditions of an agreement
employing R. W. Beck and Associates to render engineering and
analytical advice in connection with the application of Southern
California Edison Company to increase the cost of wholesale power
to the City of Anaheim be, and the same are hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOVLED that the Mayor and City Clerk be,
and are hereby authorized to execute said agreement by and on
behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 12th day of June, 1973.
