A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHED,[ ORDERING THE VACATION Al'JD AJ3AHD01i-
MENT OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY DESCRIBED HEP~IN
AND RESERVING THEIlliFROr-1 CERTAIN EASEI'.'1ENTS FOR
PUBLIC UTILITY PURPOSES.
WHEHEAS, the City Council of the City of AIlaheim did
on the 10th day of April, 1973, declare by Resolution No. 73R-142
its intention to vacate and abandon a roadway reservation located
south of Katella Avenue, east of State College Boulevard, in the
City of Anaheim, more fully hereinafter described, indicating its
intention to reserve certain public utility easements therefrom,
and did set the 1st day of May, 1973, for a public hearing thereon;
and
v.J.tiEREAS, on said ls"t day of May r 1973, a"t 1: 30 0 I clock
P.t1. in the Council Chamber in the City Hall of the City of
Anaheim, said public hearing was held; and
~~IEREAS, the City Council finds from the evidence sub-
mitted at said public hearing that that portion of the real pro-
perty described herein and in said Resolution of Intention is
unnecessary for present or prospective roadway and alley purposes
but b'Lat certain public ujcility easements should be reserved
therein.
NOW! THEREFORE, BE 1'1' RESOLVED by the Ci"cy Council of
the City of p......'1aheinl;
1. That it finds that said public hearing was properly
held and that all no,tices were given and publica'-
tions made as required by law.
2. That that portion of the real property toward which
a request for vacation and abandonment was directed
is not necessary for present or prospective roadway
and alley purposes and does hereby order that said
portion as herein set forth, be and H: is hereby
vacated, abandoned and closed to public use.
3. That said portion of real property herein ordered
vacated, abandoned and closed to public use is
si tua tea in the City of ,Anaheim, Coun t:y of Orange,
State of California, and is more particularly
described as follows, to wit:
That certain easement for roadway purposes located in
the City of Anaheirn, County of Orange, State of Cali..
fornia, to be abandoned being "th,~~ southerly 15 feet
of that portion of Lots 4 and 5 in Tract No. 71, as
shown on- a map recorded in. Book 10, page 22, Iliscel
laneous lIaps, - records of said Orange County, describelJ

and 5, a distance of 595.06 feet to the centerline of
Katella Avenue, 60 feet wide, as described in decree of
condemnation recorded July 8, 1960 in Book 5321, page
397, Official Records; thence Southwesterly alonq said
centerline along the arc of a curve concave northwesterly
and having a radius of 1,000.00 feet from a tangen"l:

180 17' 32", a distance of 319.26 feet to the easterly
line of the land conveyed to Randall Ray Bivens, et ux.,

4. That the following easements should be reserved from
the above described property:
(a) An easement for public utility purposes
over, under and across the southerly 5
feet of said parcel to cover e:dsting
City of Anaheim water line and utility
line.
(b) An easement for public utility purposes
over, under and across the southerly 8
feet of said parcel to cover Pacific
Telephone Company facilities.
AND BE r:f FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and
she is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified copy
of this Resolution and Order, attested by her under e18 seal of
the City of Anaheim, to be recorded in the Office of the County
Recorder of Orange CountYf California.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved
