A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING A SEALED PROPOSAL UNDER
DATE OF APRIL 18, 1973, AND AWARDING A CON-
TRACT FOR THE FURNISHING OF CAST IRON WATER
PIPE AND FITTINGS - SERIES OF 1973 (PACIFIC
STATES CAST IRON PIPE COMPANY) .
WlIEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did
cause a notice inviting sealed bids to be published as required
by law, did open said sealed bids at the time and place and in
the manner as specified in said notice and did award a contract
to the lowest responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, as a result of the receipt of said sealed
bids and after full consideration of all such bids submitted, the
City Council finds that Pacific States Cast Iron Pipe Company was
the lowest responsible bidder in bidding on the following items:
CAST IRON PIPE
ITEM I 1,000 feet of 4 inch cast iron pipe
ITEM II 3,000 feet of 6 inch cast iron pipe
ITE1v1 III 5,000 feet of 8 inch cast iron pipe
ITEM IV 5,000 feet of 10 inch cast iron pipe
ITEM V 5,000 feet of 12 inch cast iron pipe
DUCTILE IRON PIPE
ITEr1 I 1,000 feet of 8 inch ductile iron pipe
ITEM II 2,000 feet of 10 inch ductile iron pipe
ITEl'\1 III 5,000 feet of 12 inch ductile iron pipe
ITEM IV 4,000 feet of 16 inch ductile iron pipe
ITEM V 1,000 feet of 18 inch ductile iron pipe
ITEr.l VI 1,000 feet of 20 inch ductile iron pipe
50,000 lbs. Mechanical Joint Fittings with Accessories
for a total sum of $194,186.00; the other bidder being United
States Pipe and Foundry Company; and
vffiEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City to
accept the bid of said Pacific States Cast Iron Pipe Company and
to enter into a contract for the supply thereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it accept the bid of Pacific States
Cast Iron Pipe Company for the furnishing of pipe and fittings
in the following approximate quantities in required sizes and
lengths and for the following unit and total prices:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to execute on
behalf of the City of Anaheim the Agreement with Pacific states
Cast Iron Pipe Company covering the supplies herein set forth.
