RESOLUTION NO. 73R- 597
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZ ING THE EXE-
CUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE ZION LUTHERAN
CHURCH AND THE CITY OF ANAHEIM PROVIDING FOR THE
SERVICES OF A CROSSING GUARD AT THE INTERSECTION
OF EAST AND CYPRESS STREETS.
WHEREAS, East and Cypress Streets lie within the City
of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, children living in the City of Anaheim must
cross East Street to attend the Zion Lutheran Church and school;
and
WHEREAS, the requirements for a crossing guard, as
set forth in Resolution No. 6773 of the City Council, are not
met at this intersection; and
WHEREAS, the Zion Lutheran Church desires the City of
Anaheirn to employ crossing guards and reimburse the City of
Anaheim for said crossing guards in certain amounts and .at cer-
tain times during the day; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to provide cross~
ing guard services for children at East and Cypress Streets
under these terms and conditions; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be in the
best interests of the City to enter into an agreement to furnish
a crossing guard at East and Cypress Streets subject to the
reimbursement of the cost of said guard by the Zion Lutheran
Church.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the terms and conditions of an agree-
ment to provide a crossing guard at East and Cypress Streets
at a certain hourly rate and certain times of the day, and sub-
ject to the reimbursement of said costs by the Zion Lutheran
Church be, and the same are hereby approved, and the Mayor and
City Clerk are authorized to sign same on behal~ of the City of
Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
