1973-564 "J"'~ RESOLUTION NO. 73R-564 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEH1 APPROVING THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF ANAHED1 OF THE TERRITORY KNOWN AND DESIGNATED LA PALMA - KRAEMER ANNEXATION WHEREAS, said Local Agency Formation Commission author- ized the City of Anaheim to annex said territory without notice and hearing and without an election pursuant to-the authority vested in said Commission by Section 54797.1 of the Government Code; and WHEP~AS, said territory proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State of California, and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim, and is uninhabited territory. That said consent contained a description of said territory in words and figures as hereinafter in this resolution described; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim is authorized to approve said annexation by resolution without notice and hearing pursuant to the approval of said Local Agency Formation Commission and Section 54797.1 of the Government Code. NO'V], THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds: That the City of Anaheim submitted proof satisfactory to the Local Agency Formation Commission that all of the owners of land within the territory proposed to be annexed have given their signed consent to such annexation. That said territory proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State of California, and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim, and is uninhabited territory. That said consent signed by all of the owners of land within the territory proposed to be annexed contained a description of said territory in words and figures as hereinafter in this resolution described. That the City of Anaheim filed said request to annex said territory, containing the specific boundaries of the terri- tory to be annexed, with the Local Agency Formation Commission and said Local Agency Formation Commission approved said annexa- tion request of the City of Anaheim pursuant to Section 54797.1 of the Government Code. That on the 3lstday of October , 1973 , the Local Agency Formation Commission duly adopted Resolution N~73-l77 in which said Commission authorized the City of Anaheim to annex said territory in accordance with Section 54797.1 of the Government Code and further approved such annexation of said territory with- out notice or hearing. - That the Local Agency Formation Commission further by resolution, authorized the City Council of the City of Anaheim to annex said territory without notice or hearing by the City Council and without the requirement that an election be held by the City on the question of said annexation. territory BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the annexation of the included within the boundaries of the LA PALMA - KRAEMER ANNEXATION , more particularly as follows, to wit: described -1- .~,~ That certain parcel of land located in the County of Orange, State of California, being a portion of Lots 20, 21 and Lot 24 in Block K of the Kraemer Tract, as shown on a map recorded in Book 12, pages 87 and 88, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, des- cribed as follows: Beginning at the northeast corner of the White Star- La Palma No. 2 Annexation to the City of Anaheim cer- tified by the Secretary of State March 22, 1972, said northeast corner also being a point in the southerly annexation boundary line of the La Palma-Miraloma Annexation to the City of Anaheim certified by the Secretary of State November 8, 1968; thence N 730 43' DO" E, 990.91 feet leaving said White Star-La Palma No. 2 Annexation boundary and following along a por- tion of said La Palma-Miraloma Annexation boundary to an intersection with the centerline of Kraemer Boule- vard (formerly known as Dowling Avenue), said point of intersection being a point in the existing City limit line of the City of Anaheim, as established by the Northeast Annexation No. 2A certified by the Secre- tary of State September 12, 1958; thence S 160 55' 10" E, 1,156.03 feet leaving said La Palma-Miraloma Annex- ation boundary and following along a portion of said Northeast Annexation No. 2A annexation boundary, being the centerline of said Kraemer Boulevard and the southerly prolongation thereof to an intersection with the northerly right of way line of State Highway Route l7S-B, as shown on State right of way map no. F-1837 on file in the office of the County Surveyor of said County as File No. 9459; thence S 160 55' 10" E, 142.00 feet leaving said Northeast No. 2A Annexation boundary to an intersection with the southerly right of way line of said freeway; thence S 740 01' 46" W, 155.24 feet along a portion of the southerly right of way line of said freeway to an intersection with the existing City of Anaheim City limit line, said point of intersection being the most northeasterly corner of the La Palma-Rio Vista Annexation to the City of Anaheim certified by the Secretary of State December 14, 1965; thence S 740 01' 46" W, 448.67 feet along a portion of the La Palma- Rio vista Annexation boundary to an angle point in said boundary; thence N 070 19' 33tf W, 168.60 feet leaving the said La Palma-Rio Vista Annexation boundary to an intersection with the northerly right of way line of the aforementioned Riverside Freeway; thence S 820 21' 54" W, 493.36 feet along a portion of the northerly right of way line of said freeway to an intersection with the easterly annexation boundary line as estab- lished by the aforementioned White Star-La Palma No. 2 Annexation; thence N 110 48' 39" W, 1,058.40 feet along the easterly line of said White Star-La Palma No. 2 Annexation boundary to the point of beginning. - -2- is hereby approved and said territory is hereby annexed to and incorporated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, and is hereby designated as the LA PALMA - KRAEMER ANNEXATION to the City of . Anaheim. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that from and after the date of the adoption of this resolution and the filing of a certified copy thereof with the Secretary of State of the State of California, the annexation of the territory herein described shall be deemed to be and shall be complete and thenceforth such annexed territory shall be, to all intents and purposes, a part of the City of Anaheim, and from and after the effective date of such annexation, all property therein shall be subject to taxation equally with the property within the City of Anaheim and shall be taxed to pay its proportionate share of the existing indebtedness and liahility of said City of Anaheim contracted prior to or existing at the time of such annexation pursuant to the written consent of the owners of property in said annexed territory filed with the Clerk of the City of Anaheim prior to the adoption of this resolution.
