A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE TEID1S AND CONDITIONS
OF A JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT OF 1973 BETWEEN
THE CITY OF l~AHEIM, THE CITY OF CHINO AND
OTHER P1\RTICIPATING CITIES, CREATING THE CHINO
HILLS AIRPORT AUTHORITY, AND AUTHORIZING THE
I~YOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT
ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim is
cognizant of the fact' that state and regional agencies have
indicated that additional a~rport facilities will be necessary
in Southern California to handle air traffic in tiLe 1980's, and
("
~VHEREAS, the Chino Hills Airport Complex, Inc. has
proposed to study the feasibility of constructing an inter-'
national airport in the Chino Hills; and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes that the feasi"-
bility of such an airport should be studied.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the terms and conditions of a Joint
Powers Agreement of 1973 between the City of Anaheim, the City
of Chino and other participating cities, creating tiLe Chino
Hills Airport Authority, be, and the same are hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER P~SOLVED that ~~e Mayor and City Clerk
are authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of ti1.e City
of Anahiem.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 20th day of November, 1973.
