RESOLUTION NO. 73R-487
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
OF AN AGREm1ENT BETWEEN THE CITIES OF ANAHEIM,
GARDEN GROVE, HUNTINGTON BEACH AND SANTA ANA
AND THE LEAGUE OF CITIES--CONFERENCE OF MAYORS,
INC., PERTAINING TO THE EMPLOYMENT OF A
WASHINGTON REPRESENTATIVE, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT
ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the Cities of Anaheim, Garden Grove, Hunting-
ton Beach and Santa Ana have heretofore, pursuant to an agreement
between them, agreed to employ and share the expense of a
Washington Representative to provide said Cities with representa-
tion before Congress and other Federal agencies; and
WHEREAS, the League of Cities--Conference of Mayors,
Inc. has agreed to assign a member of its staff as a Washington
Representative to represent said Cities; and
WHEREAS, the Cities of Anaheim, Garden Grove, Hunting-
ton Beach and Santa Ana agree that a Washington Representative
should be employed for such purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the terms and conditions of an agreement
between the Cities of Anaheim, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach
and Santa Ana and the League of Cities--Conference of Mayors, Inc.
dated October 15, 1973, pertaining to the employment of a
Washington Representative be, and the same are hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of the City
of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 16th day of October , 1973.
