RESOLUTION NO. 73R- 486
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE TERMS M~D CONDITIONS
OF AN AGREE!-1ENT BETWEEN ANAHEIN, GARDEN GROVE,
HUNTINGTON BEACH AND SANTA ANA PERTAINING TO
THE JOINT EMPLOYMENT OF A LEGISLATIVE REPRE-
SENTATIVE, 1u~D AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, Section 50023 of the California Government
Code permits the employment of legislative representatives by
local governmental entities; and
WHEREAS, Section 6500 of the California Government
Code provides for the joint exercise of powers by local govern-
mental entities; and
WHEREAS, the Cities of Anaheim, Garden Grove, Hunting-
ton Beach and Santa Ana believe that it is in the beat interests
of said Cities to employ a legislative representative to repre-
sent said Cities before the Congress and other Federal agencies.
NOW f THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the terms and
conditions of an agreement between the Cities of Anaheim, Garden
Grove, Huntington Beach and Santa Ana pertaining to the joint
employment of a legislative representative dated October 1, 1973,
be, and the same are hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of the City
of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 16th day of October , 1973.
