A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
ENDORSING PROPOSITION 1.
WHEREAS, taxes borne by Californians have become a tremendous
burden, and
WHEREAS, government at all levels -- Federal, State and Local
will soon consume more than 50 per cent of the personal income of the
citizens of the State, and
WHEREAS, Governor Ronald Reagan has proposed a Revenue Control
and Tax Reduction Program, and
WHEREAS, the Governor's program would constitutionally protect
local government from increased State program costs, and
WHEREAS, the program ensures ample funds for education,
environmental protection, highways, public safety, parks and recreation,
health programs and assistance for the truly needy and disabled,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
City of Anaheim does hereby endorse and support the Revenue Control and
Tax Reduction Program authored by Governor Ronald Reagan and urges voter
approval of Proposition 1 at the polls November 6.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me this
18th day of September, 1973.
