RESOLUTION NO. 74R- 219
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING A PERMIT AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND ANAHEIM HILLS,
INC., FOR THE TEMPORARY USE OF A PORTION OF
THE WALNUT CANYON RESERVOIR FOR A WIND CURRENT
MONITORING STATION.
WHEREAS, Anaheim Hilis, Inc. is desirous of gather-
ing scientific air quality data in the Santa Ana Canyon area;
and
WHEREAS, Anaheim Hills, Inc. is in need of a temporary
location for the technical equipment necessary to secure said
data; and
WHEREAS, it is essential to the accuracy of such a
scientific investigation that the equipment be located on a
high point within the Anaheim Hills area; and
WHEREAS, the City is in possession of such.a facility
in the area known as the Walnut Canyon Reservoir; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to permit Anaheim Hills,
Inc. to make use of the Walnut Canyon Reservoir site for a tem-
porary wind current monitoring station; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of
Anaheim to permit Anaheim Hilis, Inc. to use the Walnut Canyon
Reservoir site for a temporary wind current monitoring station.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the permit agreement between the
City and Anaheim Hilis, Inc., the terms and conditions of
which are satisfactory to the City, be, and the same is hereby
approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized to execute said Permit for and on behalf
of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 7th day of May 1974.
