1974-207RESOLUTION NO. 74 R 207, A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDON- MENT OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY DESCRIBED HEREIN. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did, on the 16th day of April, 1974, declare by Resolution No. 74R -179 its intention to vacate and abandon a portion of Cerritos Avenue, east of State College Boulevard, at Sunkist Street in the City of Anaheim, more fully hereinafter described, and did set the 7th day of May, 1974, for a public hearing thereon; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds from the evidence submitted at said public hearing that that portion of the real property described herein and in said Resolution of Intention is unnecessary for present or prospective roadway and alley purposes. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim: 1. That it finds that said public hearing was properly held and that all notices were given and publications made as required by law. 2. That that portion of the real property toward which a request for vacation and abandonment was directed is not necessary for present or prospective roadway and alley purposes and does hereby order that said portion, as herein set forth, be, and it is hereby vacated, abandoned and closed to public use. 3. That said portion of real property herein ordered vacated, abandoned and closed to pub- lic use is situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, and is more particularly described as follows, to wit: That portion of dedicated roadway commonly known as Cerritos Avenue, located in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, to be aban- doned, lying within a portion of Section 24, being a portion of Lot 41 of Township 4 South, Range 10 West, in the Rancho San Juan Cajon de Santa Ana, as per map recorded in Book 2, pages 256 and 257 of Patents, Records of Los Angeles County, California, described as follows: Parcel One: The southerly 20 feet of the following described parcel of land: Beginning at the inter- section of the centerline of the Southern Pacific Railroad right of way and the westerly line of the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana in said Section 24; thence along said Rancho line S 29° 00' W, 246.18 feet; thence W, 597.56 feet; thence North to the centerline of the Southern Pacific Railroad right 73 -9A /kw of way; thence Easterly along the centerline of said right of way to the point of beginning. Excepting therefrom the portion included in the right of way of the Southern Pacific Railroad. Parcel Two: The northerly 20 feet of the following described parcel of land: Beginning at the inter- section of the east and west quarter section line of said Fractional ,Section 24, and the westerly line of Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana; thence along said Rancho line S 29° 00' W, 804.42 feet to Station 68 of said Rancho line; thence continuing along same S 33° 00' W, 732.53 feet to a point; thence N 89° 44' W, 430.67 feet to a pipe; thence N 30° 52' E, 1535.3 feet to a pipe in said quarter section line; thence along said quarter section line S 89° 44' E, 432.05 feet to the point of beginning. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she is hereby authorized and directed to cause a certi- fied copy of this Resolution and Order, attested by her under the seal of the City of Anaheim, to be recorded in the Office of the County Recorder of Orange County, California.
