RESOLUTION NO. 74R -203
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AND THE CITY OF GARDEN GROVE
TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PURCHASE OF WALKIE TALKIE
RADIOS TO BE PURCHASED WITH FEDERAL FUNDS AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, the Council on Criminal Justice approved,
on April 17, 1974, a grant application for the City of Garden
Grove to provide "pack -set radios" (walkie- talkies) to law
enforcement agencies in Orange County; and
WHEREAS, under the terms of the grant, the City of
Garden Grove is acting as prime sponsor for the distribution of
pack -set radios to law enforcement agencies in Orange County;
and
WHEREAS, by the terms of this agreement, the City of
Garden Grove and the City of Anaheim desire to set forth the
terms under which the pack -set radios will be distributed and
paid for and the terms and conditions related thereto; and
WHEREAS, a form of an agreement between the Cities of
Garden Grove and Anaheim, the terms and conditions whereof are
satisfactory to the City of Anaheim, has this,day been submitted;
and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of
Anaheim to enter into said agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the agreement this day submitted by and
between the City of Garden Grove and the City of Anaheim to
provide "pack -set radios" be, and the same is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City
Clerk are hereby authorized to execute said agreement for and
on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 30th day of April, 1974.
