RESOLUTION NO. 74R °196
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM WITHDRAWING FROM THE JOINT POWERS
AGREEMENT OF 1973 BETWEEN THE CITIES OF
ANAHEIM, STANTON AND CHINO, CREATING THE CHINO
HILLS AIRPORT AUTHORITY.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 73R -562, dated
November 20, 1973, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
approved the participation by the City of Anaheim in a Joint
Powers Agreement for the establishment of the Chino Hills
Airport Authority; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 8 of the Joint Powers
Agreement of 1973, the City of Anaheim may withdraw from said
Joint Powers Agreement by giving the other parties to said
Joint Powers Agreement "thirty (30) days prior written notice
of such withdrawal and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim_
deems it to be in the best interest of the City of Anaheim to
withdraw from the Joint Powers Agreement of 1973 establishing
the Chino "Hills Airport Authority.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that, pursuant to Section 8 of the
Joint Powers Agreement of 1973 establishing the Chino Hills
Airport Authority, the City of Anaheim does hereby give notice
to the Cities of Stanton and Chino that Anaheim does withdraw
from the Joint Powers Agreement of 1973, thirty (30) days after
receipt hereof of this Resolution by the Cities of Chino and
Stanton.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby
directed to send a copy of this Resolution to the Cities of
Chino and Stanton by depositing same in the United States mail,
certified, return receipt requested.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 23rd day of April, 1974.
