A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM OF THE TERRITORY KNOWN AND DESIGNATED
ORANGETHORPE NIXON FREEWAY ANNEXATION.
WHEREAS, said Local Agency Formation Commission author-
ized the City of Anaheim to annex said territory without notice
and hearing and without an election pursuant to the authority
vested in said Commission by Section 54797.1 of the Government
Code; and
WHEREAS, said territory proposed to be annexed to said
City of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State of
California, and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim, and is
uninhabited territory. That said consent contained a description
of said territory in words and figures as hereinafter in this
resolution described; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim is
authorized to approve said annexation by resolution without
notice and hearing pursuant to the approval of said Local Agency
Formation Commission and Section 54797.1 of the Government Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Anaheim finds:
That the City of Anaheim submitted proof satisfactory
to the Local Agency Formation Commission that all of the owners
of land within the territory proposed to be annexed have given
their signed consent to such annexation. That said territory
proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim is situated in
the County of Orange, State of California, and is contiguous
to the City of Anaheim, and is uninhabited territory. That said
consent signed by all of the owners of land within the territory
proposed to be annexed contained a description of said territory
in words and figures as hereinafter in this resolution described.
That the City of Anaheim filed said request to annex
said territory, containing the specific boundaries of the terri-
tory to be annexed, with the Local Agency Formation Commission
and said Local Agency Formation Commission approved said annexa-
tion request of the City of Anaheim pursuant to Section 54797.1
of the Government Code.
That on the 13th day of February 1974 the Local
Agency Formation Commission duly adopted Resolution No. 74 in
which said Commission authorized the City of Anaheim to annex said
territory in accordance with Section 54797.1 of the Government
Code and further approved such annexation of said territory with-
out notice or hearing.
That the Local Agency Formation Commission further
by resolution, authorized the City Council of the City of Anaheim
to annex said territory without notice or hearing by the City
Council and without the requirement that an election be held by
the City on the question of said annexation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the annexation of the
territory included within the boundaries of the OVANGETHORPF-
NIXON FREEWAY ANNEXATION more particularly
described as follows, to wit:

That certain parcel of land located in the County of Orange,
State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the northeast corner of the Crest
hill Drive Annexation to the City of Anaheim certified by
the Secretary of State September 27, 1972, said point of
beginning also being a point in the existing City limit line
of the City of Yorba Linda as established by the 73 -2 Annex-
ation to said City certified by the Secretary of State July
27, 1973; thence leaving said City of Anaheim annexation
boundary and following along a portion of said Yorba Linda
Annexation boundary, the following courses and distances:
S 53 07' 47" E, 172.98 feet; S 53 34' 39" E, 256.01 feet;
S 52 43' 14' E, 280.01 feet; S 70" 29' 11" E, 16.82 feet;
S 15° 44' 56''` W, 23.39 feet; S 37' 30' 30' W, 172.50 feet;
S 4° 59' 50'`.E, 145.00 feet; S 28 52' 50' E, 285.00 feet;
S 34' 18' 20' E, 314.20 feet; S 56° 05' 40'` E, 305.00 feet;
S 74° 00' 00" E, 100.00 feet; S 53.18 feet; S 89 55' 03"
E, 570.25 feet to the southeast corner of the Yorba Linda
Annexation boundary established by said 73 -2 Annexation to
said City; thence leaving said Yorba Linda Annexation boun-
dary along the easterly prolongation of said boundary S 89
55' 03'= E, 50 feet, more or less, to an intersection with
the centerline of Imperial Highway, now known as Richard M.
Nixon Freeway as shown on State Right of Way Map No. F -2281
on file in the office of the County Surveyor of said County
as File No. 8465, said point of intersection being a point
in a curve concave southwesterly and having a radius of
2,000 feet, a radial line bearing N 64 50' 46" E passes
through said point; thence Southeasterly and Southerly along
said centerline along said curve through a central angle of
26" 59' 19" an arc distance of 942.079 feet; thence continu-
ing along said freeway centerline S 1 50' 05' W, 134.20
feet to an intersection with the northerly right of way line
of Orangethorpe Avenue, said point of intersection being a
point in the existing annexation boundary established by the
Yorba Annexation to the City of Anaheim certified by the
Secretary of State August 10, 1964; thence following along a
portion of said Yorba Annexation boundary, the following
courses and distances: S 87' 41' 30' W, 133.87 feet, more or
less. thence N 87 51' 36" W, 116 feet, more or less. thence
N 86 43' 53" W, 116 feet, more or less; thence N 84-8 12'
49" W, 351 feet, more or less; thence S 5 00' 00" W, 15
feet, more or less; thence N 78 10' 00" W, 23.22 feet;
thence N 5 00' 00" E, 440 feet, more or less; thence N 73
34' 00" W, 371.24 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve
concave northeasterly and having a radius of 867.88 feet;
thence Northwesterly along said curve through a central angle
of 48 49' 00" an arc distance of 740 feet, more or less, to
the southeasterly corner of the Adobe Wall Annexation to the
City of Anaheim certified by the Secretary of State September
30, 1971; thence leaving said Yorba Annexation boundary and
following along the northeasterly annexation boundary line of
said Adobe Wall Annexation N 24° 45' 00" W, 855 feet, more
or less, to the northeasterly corner of said Adobe Wall Annex-
ation, said northeast corner being a point in the aforemen-
tioned Yorba Annexation boundary; thence leaving said Adobe
Wall Annexation boundary line and following along a portion
of said Yorba Annexation boundary line N 50" 00' 00" W, 528
feet, more or less; thence N 3 00' 00" W, 45.88 feet to an
intersection with the easterly annexation boundary line of
the aforementioned Cresthill Drive Annexation; thence leaving
said Yorba Annexation boundary and following along the east
line of said Cresthill Drive Annexation boundary N 46 00'
00" E, 496.57 feet to the point of beginning.
is hereby approved and said territory is hereby annexed to and
incorporated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of
California, and is hereby designated as the ORANGETHORPE-
NIXON FREEWAY ANNEXATION to the City of
Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that from and after the date of
the adoption of this resolution and the filing of a certified
copy thereof with the Secretary of State of the State of California,
the annexation of the territory herein described shall be deemed
to be and shall be complete and thenceforth such annexed territory
shall be, to all intents and purposes, a part of the City of
Anaheim, and from and after the effective date of such annexation,
all property therein shall be subject to taxation equally with
the property within the City of Anaheim and shall be taxed to pay
its proportionate share of the existing indebtedness and liability
of said City of Anaheim contracted prior to or existing at the
time of such annexation pursuant to the written consent of the
owners of property in said annexed territory filed with the Clerk
of the City of Anaheim prior to the adoption of this resolution.
