A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
OF A MEMBERSHIP AND STUDY AGREEMENT FOR THE
INTERMOUNTAIN POWER PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the Intermountain Power Project is a
Utah non profit corporation formed for the purpose of
investigating the feasibility of constructing'and operating
a thermal power generating plant and associated facilities;
and
WHEREAS, the Cities of Anaheim, Burbank, Glendale,
Pasadena, Riverside and Los Angeles, California, and the
Intermountain Consumer Power Association, consisting of
cities and electric cooperatives in the State of Utah, desire
to enter into an agreement with the Intermountain Power
Project for the purposes of said investigation; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim will obtain a 15%
interest in the study; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the
citizens of Anaheim to enter into said agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the terms and conditions of the
Membership and Study Agreement with the Intermountain Power
Project be, and the same are hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of
the City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Utilities Director
be, and he is hereby appointed as Anaheim's member of the
Board of Directors of the Intermountain Power Project.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 9th day of April, 1974.
