RESOLUTION NO. 74R -132
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM SUPPORTING CALIFORNIA SENATE
RESOLUTION NO. 77 RELATIVE TO INTERCONNECTIONS
TO TELEPHONE FACILITIES.
WHEREAS, the Senate of the State of California,
pursuant to Resolution No. 77, has resolved that the Calif-
ornia Public Utilities Commission investigate the intercon-
nection of customer- provided equipment to the public tele-
phone network in view of the possible economic impact on the
citizens of the State of California; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
is in support of the position taken by the California Senate
in Resolution No. 77; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does hereby express its
interest and concern regarding the California Public Utilities
Commission's investigation into the interconnection of customer
provided equipment to the public telephone network; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does request the Calif-
ornia Public Utilities Commission to include in its investiga-
tion a full inquiry into the possible economic impact of any
action they may contemplate so that the public interest will be
better served.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the City of Anaheim does support
Senate Resolution No. 77 and requests a full investigation
in the general public interest in the interconnection of cus-
tomer- provided equipment to the public telephone network.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is
hereby authorized and directed to transmit a copy of this
Resolution to the California Public Utilities Commission.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed
by me this 26th day of March, 1974.
