A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM PERTAINING TO THE RATES, RULES AND
REGULATIONS FOR THE SALE AND DISTRIBUTION OF
ELECTRIC ENERGY BY THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, AND
RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 74R -29.
WHEREAS, the Southern California Edison Company, on
January 2, 1974, filed an application with the Federal Power
Commission to increase its wholesale electric rates by
approximately 74% to the City of Anaheim, such increase to be
effective March 3, 1974; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim did not know whether
such rates would be permitted to become effective by the
Federal Power Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
adopted Resolution No. 74R -29 which increased the rates that
Anaheim charges its electric customers by passing most of the
increase in Anaheim's wholesale electric rates on to Anaheim's
retail customers; and
WHEREAS, the staff of the Federal Power Commission
has notified the Southern California Edison Company that its
January 2, 1974, application to increase wholesale rates is
deficient, and that such application will not be deemed filed
until the deficiencies are corrected; and
WHEREAS, the rate increase of the Southern California
Edison Company will not become effective on March 3, 1974.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that Resolution No. 74R -29 increasing
electrical rates charged by the City of Anaheim to its
electric customers be, and the same is hereby rescinded.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the rates, rules and
regulations for the sale and distribution of electric energy be
in full force and effect as they existed prior to the adoption
of Resolution No. 74R -29.
