A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AND CITY OF ORANGE ADJUSTING THE
COMMON BOUNDARY LINE BETWEEN SAID CITIES TO
PERMIT CERTAIN TERRITORY TO BE TRANSFERRED
TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM FOR A WATER RESERVOIR
SITE.
WHEREAS, the parties hereto established a common
boundary line between the City of Anaheim and the City of
Orange by an agreement dated March 4, 1957; and
WHEREAS, said agreement provides for appropriate
adjustments in the common boundary line in the event the same
are desirable in connection with the development of areas
adjacent to said boundary line; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim finds it desirable to
annex a parcel of land south of the boundary line for the
purpose of using said land as a water reservoir site; and
WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the City Council
of the City of Anaheim an agreement to be made and entered into
by and between the City of Anaheim and the City of Orange re-
locating said boundary line, the terms of which agreement the
City Council finds to be satisfactory and in the best interests
of the City and should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the agreement submitted to the City
Council to be made and entered into by and between the City of
Anaheim and the City of Orange relocating the said boundary line
upon the terms and conditions set forth in said agreement, be,
and the same is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City
Clerk be, and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute
said agreement for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 1st day of October 1974.
