1974-476WHEREAS, on the 6th day of August the City Council
did, by Resolution No. 74R -388, designate the Orange County
Health Department as the agency to enforce the Employee
Housing Act in relation to Farm Labor Camps; and
WHEREAS, Section 2640 of the Labor Code of the State
of California provides that the City of Anaheim may assume
that responsibility; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of
Anaheim to rescind Resolution 74R -388 and designate the City
of Anaheim as the agency that assumes responsibility for the
enforcement of the Employee Housing Act, and the Building
Division of the City and the Orange County Health Department
as the agency to perform said function in this City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
that Resolution No. 74R -388 be, and the same is hereby
rescinded; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Anaheim does
hereby assume responsibility for the enforcement of the Employee
Housing Act in relation to Farm Labor Camps.
AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Building Division
of the City and the County of Orange Health Department, by
contract, are designated as the Enforcement Agency for this Act
for the City of Anaheim.
