90-423 RESOLUTION NO. 90R-423
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM'S PARTICIPATION IN THE
NORTH ORANGE COUNTY LEADERSHIP
FORUM AND APPOINTING TWO MEMBERS OF
THE CITY COUNCIL AS ANAHEIM'S
REPRESENTATIVES TO THAT BODY.
WHEREAS, very difficult-solve problems facing cities
are often beyond local response requiring regional cooperation;
and
WHEREAS, affordable housing, air pollution, solid waste
management, and available water are problems which ignore
jurisdictional boundaries; and
WHEREAS, the North Orange County cities of Anaheim,
Brea, Buena Park, Fullerton, La Habra, Placentia and Yorba Linda
have determined that there are geographic, economic, social and
other similarities common to each city;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of
Anaheim, hereby joins with the above-mentioned cities in the
formation of the North Orange County Leadership Forum, pledging
to work together to resolve common regional issues in cooperation
with the County of Orange and other jurisdictions.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the city Council of the
City of Anaheim appoint William Ehrle, Mayor Pro Tern and
Irv Pickler, Council Member as Anaheim's two official
representatives to the Forum.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION. is approved and adopted by the
