A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDON-
MENT OF A PORTION OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY AND
RESERVING THEREFROM A CERTAIN EASEMENT FOR
PUBLIC UTILITY PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did,
on the 13th day of August, 1974, declare by Resolution No.
74R -396 its intention to vacate and abandon a portion of an
existing public utility ground easement located within Lot 14,
Tract No. 3346, east side of Valley Street, south of Orange
Avenue, in the City of Anaheim, subject to reservation of an
overhead easement to accommodate existing power lines and /or
cross arm for overhang purposes, and more fully hereinafter
described; and did set the 3rd day of September, 1974, at 1:30
o'clock P.M. for a public hearing thereon; and
WHEREAS, on said 3rd day of September, 1974, at 1:30
o'clock P.M. in the Council Chamber in the City Hall of the
City of Anaheim, said public hearing was held; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from the evidence
submitted at said public hearing that that portion of the real
property described herein and in said Resolution of Intention
is unnecessary for present or prospective public utility pur-
poses but that the overhead easement herein described should be
reserved therein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim:
1. That it finds that said public hearing was properly
held and that all notices were given and publica-
tions made as required by law.
2. That that portion of the real property toward
which a request for vacation and abandonment was
directed is not necessary for present or prospec-
tive public utility purposes and does hereby order
that said portion, as herein set forth, be and it
is hereby vacated, abandoned and closed to public
use.
3. That said portion of real property herein ordered
vacated, abandoned and closed to public use is
situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange,
State of California, and is more particularly de-
scribed as follows, to wit:
That portion of Lot 14, Tract No. 3346, as shown on
a map recorded in Book 103, pages 16 and 17, Miscel-
laneous Maps, records of said Orange County, the
easterly line of said 2 -foot wide strip of land lies
parallel with and 2 feet easterly of the following
described line:
Commencing at the southeast corner of Lot 13 of said
Tract No. 3346; thence Westerly along the south line
of said Lot 13, a distance of 5 feet to the true point
of beginning; thence Northwesterly in a direct line

to the point of intersection with the south line
of Lot 15 of said Tract No. 3346, said point of
intersection being distant westerly 8 feet from
the southeast corner of said Lot 15, said point of
intersection also being the point of terminus of
the line herein described.
Except therefrom any portion thereof lying within
said Lot 13.
Reserving therefrom an overhead utility easement
only for electric power lines along and across the
2 feet above described for cross arms and electrical
power lines for overhang purposes.
4. That the City Council finds that an overhead ease-
ment for existing power lines and /or cross arm for
overhang purposes should be reserved, and does hereby
order that said easement be retained and reserved.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be,
and she is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified
copy of this Resolution and Order, attested by her under the
seal of the City of Anaheim, to be recorded in the Office of the
County Recorder of Orange County, California.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 3rd day of September, 1974.
