A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED UP TO
THE HOUR OF 2:00 P.M. ON THE 1ST DAY OF AUGUST,
1974 FOR THE APPLICATION OF TRAFFIC STRIPE
PAINT, PAVEMENT MARKINGS AND DEVICES ON VARIOUS
CITY STREETS, ACCOUNT NOS. 280- 462- 922 -01 AND
100- 425 -241.
WHEREAS, heretofore, to wit, on the 9th day of July,
1974, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt
Resolution No. 74R -329 finding and determining that public
convenience and necessity required the application of traffic
stripe paint, pavement markings and devices on various streets
in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did authorize and direct
the City Clerk to publish a notice according to law inviting
sealed proposals for the above- mentioned public improvement,
and fixing the 1st day of August, 1974 at the hour of 2:00
o'clock P.M. as the date and hour for the opening of said
bids in the Council Chamber in the City Hall, in the City
of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, upon said 1st day of August, 1974, at the
hour of 2 :00 o'clock P.M., the City Clerk and City Engineer
did open the bids received up to that hour, in public, in the
City Hall, in the City of Anaheim, and the City Engineer did
review the bids so received and did report the result thereof
to the City Council at its regular meeting held on the 27th day
of August, 1974; and
WHEREAS, upon recommendation of the City Engineer,
the City Council finds that it is in the best interests of the
City of Anaheim to reject all bids received due to the failure
of the low bidder to prove the availability of street striping
equipment as specified in the contract documents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that all bids received up to the hour
of 2:00 o'clock P.M. on August 1, 1974, reviewed by the City
Engineer, and submitted to the City Council on August 27, 1974,
for the application of traffic stripe paint, pavement markings
and devices on various City streets, Account Nos. 280- 462 922 -01
and 100 425 -241 be, and the same are hereby rejected and that
said job be readvertised at a later date.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 27th day of August 1974.
