A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AGREEING TO THE TERMS OF A LEASE
OF CERTAIN PROPERTY OWNED BY THE ORANGE COUNTY
FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the Orange County Flood Control District owns
certain real property located generally north of Academy Avenue
and east of Beach Boulevard, which real property is adjacent to
Schweitzer Park; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to lease said
property for the expansion of Schweitzer Park; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Flood Control District is
willing to lease said property to the City of Anaheim for a pub-
lic recreational facility for twenty -five (25) years on a rent
free basis; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of
Anaheim to enter said lease.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the certain lease to be made and entered
into between the City of Anaheim and the Orange County Flood Con-
trol District for the lease of that certain property by the City
from the Orange County Flood Control District, said property lo-
cated north of Academy Avenue and east of Beach Boulevard for a
public recreational facility be, and the same is, hereby approved,
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City
Clerk be, and are hereby, authorized and directed to execute
said lease for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 6th day of August 19 74
