A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING A LETTER OF
UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE ANAHEIM POLICE
ASSOCIATION AND THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
WHEREAS, on June 28, 1989, the City Council adopted
Resolution No. 89R-281, approving a Memorandum of Understanding
between the Anaheim Police Association and the City of Anaheim;
and
WHEREAS, the Labor Relations Director met and
conferred with officials and employee representatives of the
Anaheim Police Association, to discuss specific concerns
relative to ARTICLE 58, INSURANCE; and
WHEREAS, a Letter of Understanding dated
October 17, 1990, between the parties has been prepared and
signed amending ARTICLE 58, INSURANCE; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the Letter of Understanding dated
October 17, 1990, between the Anaheim Police Association and the
City of Anaheim, a copy of which is attached hereto and
incorporated by reference herein, is hereby approved and said
Memorandum of Understanding is hereby amended in accordance with
the terms and conditions of the said Letter of Understanding.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 27th day of

LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING
between the
ANAHEIM POLICE ASSOCIATION
and the
CITY OF ANAHEIM
The Anaheim Police Association and the City of Anaheim, after
meeting and conferrJng, have reached an understanding to amend
Article 58, Insurance, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 58
INSURANCE
58.0 Active Employees
58.01 Health Insurance
58.012 Effective January 1, 1991, ANAHEIM shall
contribute towards the monthly cost of health
coverage to the various medical plans as follows:
Self Funded Employee not to exceed 110% of
Medical Plan Kaiser Monthly Rate
All Other Health Plans not to exceed 100% of
Kaiser Monthly Rate
Employees shall contribute any difference between the
ANAHEIM contribution and the total monthly premium
cost of the health plan selected.
