1974-335WHEREAS, the People of the State of California
passed Proposition 1, the State Beach, Park, Recreational
and Historical Facilities Bond Act of 1974 in the election
of 4 June 1974; and
WHEREAS, in order to be eligible to receive funds
from the provision of this Bond Act, the City must pass a
resolution authorizing the City to apply for a State Grant
pursuant thereto; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is desirous of
applying for a State Grant pursuant to said Act; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City
of Anaheim to authorize the City Manager to apply to the
State of California Department of Parks and Recreation for
a 1974 State Grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Anaheim does hereby authorize and direct the
City Manager to apply for a 1974 State Grant pursuant to the
1974 State Beach, Park, Recreational and Historical Facilities
Bond Act of 1974.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed
by me this 9th day of July 1974.
