A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ENDORSING PROPOSITION 2 IN THE
JUNE 4, 1974 ELECTION CONCERNING THE CLEAN
WATER BOND LAW OF 1974.
WHEREAS, Proposition 2 will provide $250,000,000
for local governments to assist them in their problems in
dealing with waste water disposal and water reclamation
projects; and
WHEREAS, the local governments and the State are in
need of local waste treatment disposal facilities and methods
and means of water reclamation; and
WHEREAS, the cost of these projects are generally
beyond the financial resources of the local and State govern-
ments; and
WHEREAS, Proposition 2 will provide bond fund money
that will allow local governments to save 12 1/2% of the cost
of construction of local water treatment, disposal facilities
and water reclamation projects; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does recognize the need
for such a bond measure as in the best interests of the citizens
of the City of Anaheim and does hereby "support Proposition 2 on
the June 4, 1974 election.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
that it does hereby endorse Proposition 2 in the June 4, 1974
election, and calls hereby on all cities of Orange .County to do
likewise and vote for said Proposition 2 in the June 4, 1974
election.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby
authorized and directed to forward this resolution to all
cities in the County of Orange.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 14th day of May, 1974.
