A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ENDORSING PROPOSITION 1 IN THE
JUNE 4, 1974 ELECTION CONCERNING THE RECREA-
TIONAL LAND BOND ACT.
WHEREAS, the State of California is in need of funds
to acquire park, recreational and historical facilities through-
out the State, and in the County of Orange; and
WHEREAS, Proposition 1 on the June
concerns the State Beach, Park, Recreational
Facilities Bond Act of 1974; and

WHEREAS, if this proposition passes
million dollars will'be spent to acquire park
facilities in the County of Orange; and
WHEREAS, an additional $12,000,000 of this Bond Act
will be spent to develop beaches and acquire coastal land for
recreational purposes in Orange County; and
WHEREAS, Orange County is in dire need of park and
recreational facilities; and

WHEREAS, Proposition l'will provide $250,000,000 for
park and recreational purposes in the State; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does recognize the need for
such a bond measure as in the best interests of the citizens
of Anaheim, and does hereby support Proposition 1 in the June 4,
1974 election.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
that it does hereby endorse Proposition 1 in the June 4, 1974
election, and calls hereby on all cities of Orange County to do
likewise and vote for said Proposition 1 in the June 4, 1974
election.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby
authorized and directed to forward this resolution to all
cities in the County of Orange.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 14th day of May, 1974.
