A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
AND THE CITY OF ANAHEIM FOR THE RASTER STREET
OVERCROSSING OF THE SANTA ANA FREEWAY, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXE-
CUTE SAID AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, STATE contemplates building a two -way overcross-
ing at Anaheim Boulevard Haster Street to replace the existing
southbound Anaheim Overcrossing and modifying freeway ramps in the
vicinity of Katella Avenue hereinafter referred to as "INTERCHANGE
and
WHEREAS, the California Highway Commission on August 23,
1961 approved a policy that for any additional crossing of a free-
way by a local road, the local agency will bear the normal con-
struction costs which would be required for the local roadways if
the freeway were not in existence and the cost of the right of way
necessary for the crossing; and
WHEREAS, CITY desires STATE to include as part of STATE'S
project the reconstruction of Haster Street from a point 200 feet
north of Katella Avenue extending northerly of the freeway to a
junction with Anaheim Boulevard approximately 500 feet south of
Cerritos Avenue hereinafter referred to as STREET IMPROVEMENT; and
WHEREAS, STATE'S obligation for right of way shall include
relocation of Freedman Way, extension of Clementine Street to join
Manchester Avenue and modification of the existing southeastbound
on and off ramps; and
WHEREAS, CITY desires STATE to undertake right of way ac-
quisition and relocation assistance for the CITY'S OBLIGATION be-
cause of the complexity and close inter relationship of right of
way acquisition and relocation assistance; and
WHEREAS, CITY is willing to reimburse STATE for all work
involved with CITY'S OBLIGATION; and
WHEREAS, STATE is willing to undertake all the right of
way acquisition and relocation assistance for aforesaid CITY'S
OBLIGATION; and
WHEREAS, STATE is certified by the Federal Highway Ad-
ministration for the Relocation Assistance Program; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best public interest that STATE
administer the right of way acquisition and relocation assistance
for aforesaid CITY'S OBLIGATION.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the terms and conditions of that certain
Agreement between the City of Anaheim and the State of California
for the Haster Street Overcrossing of the Santa Ana Freeway, this
day submitted be, and the same is hereby, approved.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be,
and they are hereby, authorized to execute said Agreement for and
on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
