A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
OF AN AGREEMENT WITH SHELL OIL COMPANY, THE
METROPOLITAN WATER DISTRICT OF SOUTHERN
CALIFORNIA, MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT OF ORANGE
COUNTY, COASTAL MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT AND
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA MODIFYING THAT CERTAIN
AGREEMENT DATED MARCH 29, 1965, WITH REFERENCE
TO THE GRANT OF AN EASEMENT FOR A WATER PIPELINE.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim entered into an
agreement dated March 29, 1965, with Shell Oil Company, Metropolitan
Water District of Southern California, Municipal Water District of
Orange County, Coastal Municipal Water District, and the City of
Santa Ana, pursuant to which Shell Oil Company granted an easement
to Metropolitan Water District for a water pipeline; and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to modify the said
agreement to reflect certain changes in Shell Oil Company's
steam- injection operations, and to clarify certain other
provisions; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that such changes in Shell
Oil Company's steam- injection operations will not affect the said
pipeline; and
WHEREAS, an agreement has been prepared, the terms
and conditions of which are satisfactory to the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the terms and conditions of an agree-
ment by and between the City of Anaheim and Shell Oil Company,
Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, Municipal
Water District of Orange County, Coastal Municipal Water District
and the City of Santa Ana providing for modifying that certain
agreement dated March 29, 1965, be, and the same are hereby
approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
of the City of Anaheim are hereby authorized to execute said
agreement on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
