1974-622RESOLUTION NO. 74R- 622 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 73R -607, PERSONNEL RULE 16, VACATION, SECTIONS 16.1 THROUGH 16.15, AND SECTIONS 16.7 THROUGH 16.75 RELATING TO ANNUAL VACATION ACCRUAL RATES AND MAXIMUM VACATION ACCUMULATIONS FOR CERTAIN DESIGNATED EMPLOYEES IN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, the Personnel Director has met and conferred with officials and employee representatives of the Anaheim Fire Association to discuss wages and hours of work, and WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the need exists to amend Resolution No. 73R -607, Rule 16, which established vacation provisions, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that adoption of the recommended provisions is in the best interests of the City of Anaheim. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that Resolution No. 73R -607, Rule 16, Sections 16.1 through 16.15 and Sections 16.7 through 16.75 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "RULE 16. VACATION Section 16.1 Regular, full -time employees in the classified service with an average regular work week of fifty -six and three tenths (56.3) hours shall receive annual vacation with pay in accordance with the following provisions: 16.11 For the first four years of continuous, full -time service, such employees shall accrue paid vacation at the rate of two (2) hours for each complete biweekly pay period plus twenty -two (22) hours of paid vacation at the close of the final complete biweekly pay period of each fiscal year (74 hours or 3.083 shifts a year). 16.12 Upon completion of four years of continuous,full time service, such employees shall accrue paid vacation at the rate of three (3) hours for each complete biweekly pay period plus fourteen (14) hours of paid vacation at the close of the final complete biweekly pay period of each fiscal year (92 hours or 3.833 shifts a year). 16.13 Upon completion of eight years of continuous full time service, such employees shall accrue paid vacation at the rate of five (5) hours for each complete biweekly pay period plus two (2) hours of paid vacation at the close of the final complete biweekly pay period of each fiscal year (132 hours or 5.500 shifts a year). 16.14 Upon completion of fourteen years of continuous, full -time service, such employees shall accrue paid vacation at the rate of six (6) hours for each complete biweekly pay period plus twelve (12) hours of paid vacation at the close of the final complete biweekly pay period of each fiscal year (168 hours or 7.000 shifts a year). 16.15 Upon completion of nineteen years of continuous,full -time service, such employees shall accrue paid vacation at the rate of seven (7) hours for each complete biweekly pay period plus twenty -four (24) hours of paid vacation at the close of the final complete biweekly pay period of each fiscal year (206 hours or 8.583 shifts a year). Section 16.7 Maximum vacation accumulations for employees with an average regular work week of fifty -six and three tenths (56.3) hours shall be as follows: 16.71 For employees accruing vacation at the rate of seventy -four (74) hours for every twenty -six (26) complete biweekly pay periods, the maximum amount of vacation that may be accumulated shall be two hundred sixty -eight (268) hours. 16.72 For employees accruing vacation at the rate of ninety -two (92) hours for every twenty -six (26) complete biweekly pay periods, the maximum amount of vacation that may be accumulated shall be three hundred four (304) hours. 16.73 For employees accruing vacation at the rate of one hundred thirty -two (132) hours for every twenty six (26) complete biweekly pay periods, the maximum amount of vacation that may be accumulated shall be three hundred eighty -four (384) hours. 16.74 For employees accruing vacation at the rate of one hundred sixty -eight (168) hours for every twenty six (26) complete biweekly pay periods, the maximum amount of vacation that may be accumulated shall be four hundred fifty -six (456) hours. 16.75 For employees accruing vacation at the rate of two hundred six (206) hours for every twenty -six (26) complete biweekly pay periods, the maximum amount of vacation that may be accumulated shall be five hundred thirty -two (532) hours." BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that except to the extent amended, Resolution No. 73R -607 shall remain in full force and effect, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date of this Resolution shall be December 27, 1974.
