A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM,
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 73R -605, PERSONNEL RULE 5, HOURS
OF WORK AND PAY DAY, SECTIONS 5.1, 5.11 AND 5.12, RELATING
TO THE AVERAGE REGULAR WORK WEEK, THE REGULAR HOURLY RATE
OF PAY, AND THE REGULAR BIWEEKLY RATE OF PAY FOR FIRE
SUPPRESSION PERSONNEL.
WHEREAS, the Personnel Director has met and conferred with
officials and employee representatives of the Anaheim Fire Association
to discuss wages and hours of work, and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof,the need exists to amend Resolu-
tion No. 73R -605, Rule 5, which established hours of work and pay day
provisions, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find
that adoption of the recommended provisions is in the best interests
of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that Resolution No. 73R -605, Rule 5, Sections 5.0,
5.11 and 5.12 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"RULE 5. HOURS OF WORK AND PAY DAY
Section 5.1 The average regular work week for certain designated
personnel in the Fire Department shall be fifty -six and three tenths
(56.3) hours.
5.11 For employees with an average work week of fifty -six
and three tenths (56.3) hours the regular hourly rate
of pay shall be twelve times the monthly rate divided
by 2923.
5.12 For employees with an average work week of fifty -six and
three tenths (56.3) hours, the regular biweekly rate of
pay shall be twelve times the monthly rate divided by 26."
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that except to the extent amended,
Resolution No. 73R -605, shall remain in full force and effect, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date of this
resolution shall be January 1, 1975.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me this
24th day of December 1974.
