90-393 RESOLUTION NO. 90R-393
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM ENCOURAGING MULTI-CULTURAL LEARNING
EXPERIENCES IN ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has identified strategies which
will derive the maximum benefit from a diverse cultural mix as defined by
Vision 2000, the City Strategic Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim wishes to encourage multi-cultural
learning experiences in the high schools and elsewhere; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Youth Co~nission has made recommendations
concerning multi-cultural learning experiences in the high schools and
elsewhere;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVSD that the Anaheim City Council
encourages school districts serving Anaheim residents to enrich the curriculum
and extra curricular activities to foster understanding among the cultural
heritages represented in the population of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Anaheim City Council directs the
City of Anaheim to encourage interchange among cultures through community
events and the publication of City information in local minority newspapers.
THE FOREGOING P~ESOLUTION is approved and adopted by City Council
of the City of Anaheim this 6th day of November , 1990.
