A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A SUBGRANT AND SUPPLEMENT THERETO
BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, EMPLOYMENT DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT
RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A JOB
DEVELOPMENT AND RECRUITMENT CENTER.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to provide
Job Referral services for its residents through the
establishment of a Job Development and Recruitment Center;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim requires the services
of an agency with special knowledge and experience in inter-
viewing techniques and job referral procedures to operate
said Job Development and Recruitment Center; and
WHEREAS, the State of California, Employment
Development Department is willing to furnish such specialized
personnel and material as is required to operate said Job
Development and Recruitment Center; and
WHEREAS, the State of California, Employment
Development Department has submitted to the City, a form of
Subgrant and Supplement Agreement thereto providing for the
furnishing of specialized personnel and material required to
operate said Job Development and Recruitment Center; and
WHEREAS, the. City Council finds that it would be for
the benefit and in the best interests of the City to approve
the proposed Subgrant and Supplement thereto between the City
of Anaheim, as Prime Sponsor, and the State of California,
Employment Development Department, as Subgrantee, and that the
same should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that said Subgrant and Supplement
thereto this day submitted to the City Council to be made and
entered into between the City of Anaheim and the State of
California, Employment Development Department, providing for
the furnishing of specialized personnel and material required
to operate a Job Development and Recruitment Center in the City
of Anaheim upon the terms and conditions and for the compensation
set forth in said Subgrant and Supplement thereto, be, and the
same is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby authorized to execute said Subgrant and
Supplement thereto for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and ,'fined by
me this 26th day of November, 1974.
