A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
OF AN AGREEMENT WHEREBY THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
WILL BECOME A MEMBER OF THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENTS; AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT
ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, Title 1, Division 7, Chapter 5 of the
Government Code of the State of California authorizes the
joint exercise by agreement by two or more public agencies
of any power common to them; and
WHEREAS, such an agreement between many public
agencies located in Southern California has been heretofore
executed, creating the Southern California Association of
Governments; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
has determined that it would be in the best interests of the
City of Anaheim to become a member of the Southern California
Association of Governments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the terms and conditions of an
agreement whereby the City of Anaheim will become a member of
the Southern California Association of Governments be, and the
same are hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of
the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 15th day of October 1974.
