RESOLUTION NO. 75R- 281
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AFFIRMING THE CITY'S APPEAL OF
SPECIAL FLOOD HAZARD BOUNDARY MAPS PURSUANT
TO THE NATIONAL FLOOD INSURANCE PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has received special
Flood Hazard Boundary Maps pursuant to the National Flood
Insurance Program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has challenged the
official findings contained in the aforesaid maps on the
basis that such maps have erroneously included areas of the
City not subject to flood hazard and on the basis of
technical discrepancies with local flood hazard information;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has received
acknowledgment of such discrepancies from the Federal
Insurance Administration and has been notified that a re -study
of Anaheim's flood hazard boundaries shall be undertaken.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that it is intended that the aforesaid
re -study be completed and that revised special Flood Hazard
Boundary Maps be issued to the City of Anaheim pursuant to
participation in the National Flood Insurance Program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that application for participation in the
National Flood Insurance Program shall not be construed to
negate the City of Anaheim's intent to receive revised special
Flood Hazard Boundary Maps pursuant to the aforesaid program.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 3rd day of June 1975.
