A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND
THE ORANGE COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL,
INC., RELATING TO A SUMMER YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to sponsor a
Summer Youth Development Program for youths, ages 14 to 21,
to encourage disadvantaged youths to maintain or resume
their education by providing them with counseling, financial
assistance and goal orientation; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has applied to and
has been granted funds by the Orange County Manpower Commission
to conduct a Summer Youth Development Program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim requires the services of
an Agency with special knowledge and expertise in the operation
of summer youth development programs; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Community Development
Council, Inc., is willing to furnish such specialized personnel,
material and equipment as is required to provide, organize and
operate a Summer Youth Development Program; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Community Development
Council, Inc., has submitted to the City a form of Agreement
providing for the furnishing of specialized personnel, material
and equipment required to conduct a Summer Youth Development
Program; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be for
the benefit and in the best interests of the City to approve
the proposed Agreement between the City of Anaheim and the
Orange County Community Development Council, Inc., and that the
same should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that said Agreement this day submitted to
the City Council to be made and entered into between the City of
Anaheim and the Orange County Community Development Council, Inc.,
providing for the furnishing of specialized personnel, material
and equipment required to conduct said Summer Youth Development
Program upon the terms and conditions and for the compensation
set forth in said Agreement be, and the same is hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk
be, and they are heaeby, authorized to execute said Agreement for
and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 3rd day of June 1975.
