RESOLUTION NO. 75R- 247
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF A "TAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA RELATING TO PARTICIPATION IN THE
ORANGE COUNTY NARCOTIC INDEX PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim and the City of Santa Ana
previously entered into an informal agreement in 1970, under the
terms of which the parties agreed to participate with other cities
in Orange County and with various County of Orange agencies to
form a Narcotics Task Force; and
WHEREAS, in order to provide essential timely, expedi-
tious, and continually available support to the Task Force mem-
bers and interface with other law enforcement agencies in the
area of narcotic oriented intelligence, collection, analysis and
distribution, a Narcotic Index Office has been established; and
WHEREAS, an application for U. S. Department of Justice
Law Enforcement Assistance Grant Action Funds has been submitted
to the U. S. Department of Justice Law Enforcement Assistance
Administration; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has submitted to the
City a form of agreement to be made and entered into between the
City of Anaheim and the City of Santa Ana providing for partici-
pation with other cities in Orange County in the Narcotic Index
Program, upon the terms and conditions therein set forth, which
Agreement the City Council finds would be in the best interests
of the City of Anaheim and should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the Agreement this day submitted to the
City of Anaheim by the City of Santa Ana to be made and entered
into between the parties, providing for participation in the
Orange County Narcotic Index Frogram, upon the terms and condi-
tions therein set forth, be, and the same is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City
Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute said Agree-
ment for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 1301 day of may 1975.
