A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 75R -145
AND OPPOSING MANDATORY MEMBERSHIP IN THE
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF GOVERN-
MENTS AND OPPOSING THE GRANTING OF TAXING
POWER TO SAID AGENCY.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is a member of the Southern
California Association of Governments with membership in such or-
ganization being voluntary; and
WHEREAS, the Southern California Association of Govern-
ments does not possess taxing authority;_and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has
heretofore adopted Resolution No. 75R -145; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to repeal said Resolu-
tion and adopt this Resolution as a modification of Resolution No.
75R -145.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the Southern California Association of
Governments is and, in the opinion of the City Council, should re-
main a voluntary association of local governments.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Southern California
Association of Governments should not be granted the power to im-
pose taxes.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me
this 29th day of April, 1975.
