A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
OF AN AGREEMENT WITH SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON
COMPANY IN CONNECTION WITH THE SERVICE OF FRINGE
CUSTOMERS; AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim and Southern
California Edison Company operate electric utilities; and
WHEREAS, the both utilities have in their
respective service territories a relatively few customers,
hereinafter referred to as "fringe" customers, to whom
electric service may more economically and conveniently be
furnished by or through the facilities of the other utility;
and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of both utilities to
enter into an agreement pertaining to electrical facilities
used now and in the future to serve said fringe customers;
and
WHEREAS, an agreement has been prepared, the terms
and conditions of which are satisfactory to the City of
Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the
best interest of the City of Anaheim to enter into said
agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the terms and conditions of an
agreement between the City of Anaheim and Southern California
Edison Company to provide electrical service to certain
fringe customers be, and the same are hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Clerk are authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of
the City of Anaheim,
