1975-207RESOLUTION NO. 75R 207 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A RIGHT OF WAY AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA AND AN EASEMENT DEED IN CONNECTION WITH THE RELOCATION OF A SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON TOWER DURING CONSTRUCTION OF THE ORANGE FREEWAY. WHEREAS, in conjunction with the construction of the Orange Freeway, it became necessary for the State of California to relocate a Southern California Edison tower, a portion of which is located on property owned by the City of Anaheim; and WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has been requested to grant a public utility easement to Southern California Edison Company for said tower located on the west side of Douglass Road, south of Katella Avenue (C.P. No. 311); and WHEREAS, it has been determined that the location of the tower and the easement requested at the southerly tip of the property owned by the City does not interfere with the use of the remainder of the parcel; and WHEREAS, the State of California has agreed to pay the sum of $100.00 in consideration of granting said easement; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Anaheim to execute a right of way agreement with the State of California and further to execute an easement deed (being portions of Lots 7 and 8 of the Travis Tract as shown on the map recorded in Book 5, page 120 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, conveyed to the City of Anaheim by deed recorded in Book 9969, page 813 of Official Records in the office of the County Recorder of Orange County) in favor of Southern California Edison Company. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to execute that certain right of way agreement with the State of California providing for the execution of an easement in favor of Southern California Edison Company. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute that certain easement deed in favor of Southern California Edison Company being designated as Deed No. 69330 -1. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said executed deed be transmitted to the office of the Right of Way Division of the City of Anaheim for transmittal to the State of California.
