1975-132RESOLUTION NO. 75R -132 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM GRANTING VARIANCE NO. 2668. WHEREAS, after a request for variance by The Quality Inn Hotel and Greenhorns Meat Market, owner, was received, a public hearing before the Planning Commission of the City, of Anaheim was held upon due and proper notice as a result of which Variance No. 2668 was granted, covering the following described property: The North half of the Southeast quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 27, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, partly in the Rancho San Juan Cajon de Santa Ana and partly in the Rancho Las Bolsas, in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, as per map recorded in Book 51, page 10 of Miscellaneous Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of said county. Except the South 272.00 feet of the East 585.00 feet thereof. Also except an undivided one -third interest in and to the following: Beginning at a point 88 feet South and 133 feet West of the Northeast corner of said North half; thence South 16 feet; thence West 14 feet; thence North 16 feet; and thence East 14 feet to the point of beginning. Also except that portion thereof described as follows: Commencing at the centerline intersection of Katella Avenue and Harbor Boulevard, as shown on a map filed in Book 76, page 3 of Record of Surveys, in the office of the County Recorder of said county; thence South 1° 20' 55" East along the centerline of Harbor Boulevard a distance of 1316.01 feet to a point of intersection with the North line of said North half of said Southeast quarter of said North- west quarter; said point also being the true point of beginning; thence continuing along the centerline of Harbor Boulevard, South 1° 20' 55" East a distance of 386.03 feet; thence South 89° 46' 15" West a distance of 60.01 feet; thence North 1° 20' 55" West a distance of 306.57 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave Southwesterly and having a radius of 25 feet; thence Northerly and Westerly along said curve through a central angle of 88° 50' 7" an arc distance of 38.76 feet; thence South 89° 48' 58" West a distance of 1243.29 feet; thence North 1° 5' 00" West a distance of 55.01 feet; thence North 89° 48' 58" East a distance of 1327.54 feet to the true point of beginning. -1- WHEREAS, thereafter, within the time prescribed by law an interested party or the City Council on its own motion caused the review of said Planning Commission action at a public hearing noticed and held as prescribed by law and as a result thereof the City Council does hereby make the following findings: 1. That there are special circumstances applicable to the property, including size, shape, topography, location or surroundings, which do not apply to other property under identical zoning classifica- tion in the vicinity. 2. That, because of special circumstances shown in (1) above, strict application of the zoning code deprives the property of privileges enjoyed by other property under identical zoning classifica- tion in the vicinity. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim, that said conditional zoning variance be, and the same is hereby, granted permitting the use of a restored Cadillac for signing purposes with waivers of the following Sections of the Anaheim Municipal Code; SECTION 18.05.093.021 Maximum number of signs. (1 permitted; 3 proposed) SECTION 18.05.093.0211— Minimum distance between signs. (300 feet required; 36 feet and 116 feet proposed) That said variance be granted, subject to the following conditions: 1, That subject property shall be developed substantially in accordance with plans and specifications on file with the City of Anaheim marked Exhibits Nos. 1 and 2, 2, Subject sign (automobile) shall he installed on a concrete foundation and all signing thereon shall be one 18 x 36 -inch sign containing the logo and the words "Three Greenhorns Meat Market, established 1972." BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council hereby reserves the right to revoke such variance permit for good cause or failure of said owner, its heirs, successors or assigns to comply with the Anaheim Municipal Code and regulations and the conditions herein. Said variance is granted for the term prescribed by the Anaheim Municipal Code unless otherwise speci- fied herein. THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and s'•ned by me this 18th day of March, 1975.
